  I made the pattern of shoes in cardboard and made holes to put the shoelaces. Learning to tie shoelaces is a tricky fine motor skill for children, but with patience and practice we can teach them to tie their own laces. The area I am developing through this activity is to encourage children to use their small muscles of the hands, fingers, and wrist. I made  this game because it is a fun challenging activity to practice many learning opportunities such as: · fine motor control · hand and eye coordination · concentration and problem solving · simple sorting and matching by shapes · early counting   Materials I need are recycled boxes in different colours, cut into different shapes such as rectangular, triangle, circle, square, star and heart. I drew shapes in the card board, so children can place the shapes in a matching mark I made. We can encourage learning shapes by showing children one of each shape and naming or describing them.   By figuring out how to put each piece into its proper mark, children learn to categorise and eventually name shapes. This a ctivity is a sensory play for young children to explore their sense of smell and to help them learn the different textures and feels of different objects. Smell is one of our five senses and is strongly connected to our memories . I used a variety of spices that I put in small bags, which are safe for children to smell and touch. The different spices are an important part of learning how to identify the spice.  The a rea I am developing through this activity is to help children learn vital important sensory attributes and to supports cognitive growth, motor skills, problem solving skills, and to develop their knowledge. I made this book as a sensory play for young children to develop and increase memory function. It is a great way for calming an anxious or frustrated child. It also triggers a child’s interest and ability in completing more complex learning tasks. The theme in this crochet book is an important part of learning how to identify different kind of fruit and animals.   Bottle Lid Spelling Board I created this activity because it is great to practice many learning opportunities such as: ·          develop literacy skill ·          help with spelling ·          boost working memory ·          extend vocabulary ·          encourage problem-solving   Materials I need are bottle lids, cardboard, and crochet ornaments.
